Role: Lead Java Full Stack Developer (Vue.js)Location: Issaquah, WA- Hybrid (Locals Preferred)Contract: 9+ MonthsClient Industry: RetailExp: 10-12 YearsRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Lead Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in enterprise retail and e-commerce platforms, cloud-native application development, Kubernetes orchestration, and modern frontend engineering using Vue.js.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building and modernizing large-scale retail systems supporting:• Order Management • Inventory Processing • Supply Chain Workflows • Membership Platforms • Pricing & Promotions • Real-time Transaction Processing • Store & Warehouse Integrations This role requires deep backend engineering expertise using Java and Spring Boot along with advanced frontend development skills using Vue.js and TypeScript. The candidate will lead cloud modernization initiatives and drive scalable architecture decisions across complex enterprise retail ecosystems.Key Responsibilities• Lead the design and development of enterprise-scale retail and e-commerce applications • Build scalable microservices using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot • Develop responsive frontend applications using Vue.js and TypeScript • Design and implement high-performance REST APIs and event-driven systems • Support retail business capabilities including: o Inventory management o Order fulfillment o Pricing and promotions o Membership/customer platforms o Warehouse and store integrations o Real-time retail transaction processing • Drive modernization and cloud transformation initiatives • Collaborate with architects, product managers, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders • Ensure platform scalability, resiliency, security, and performance optimization • Implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployment strategies • Participate in architectural discussions and technical leadership activities Required Technical SkillsBackend Development• 10+ years of enterprise Java development experience • Strong expertise in: o Java 17/21 o Spring Boot o REST APIs o Microservices Architecture o Distributed Systems o Multithreading o JVM Tuning o Event-Driven Architecture o Apache Kafka Frontend Development• Strong hands-on experience with: o Vue.js o TypeScript o Modern frontend architecture and UI development Cloud & DevOps• Hands-on experience with: o Kubernetes o Docker o Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Expertise in: o GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) o Helm Charts o Kubernetes networking o Auto-scaling o Secure ingress configurations o Service discovery o CI/CD automation o Cloud-native deployments o IAM and cloud security o Infrastructure reliability and observability • Exposure to Service Mesh technologies is a strong plus Database & Performance• Strong experience with: o Microsoft SQL Server o T-SQL o Stored Procedures o Query Optimization o Indexing Strategies o Performance Tuning for high-volume transactional systems • Experience with Redis and distributed caching technologies preferred Monitoring & Observability• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as: o Grafana o Prometheus o Dynatrace ______________Mandatory CertificationsKubernetes Certifications (At least one required)• CKA – Certified Kubernetes AdministratorOR • CKAD – Certified Kubernetes Application Developer Preferred:• CKS – Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist Google Cloud Certification (Mandatory)• Google Professional Cloud Developer ______________Preferred Qualifications• Experience working in large-scale retail or e-commerce environments • Exposure to supply chain or warehouse management systems • Experience supporting high-volume production environments • Strong understanding of distributed caching and performance optimization • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to work in fast-paced enterprise delivery environments ______________Education• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: o Computer Science o Software Engineering o Information Systems o Related Engineering discipline
