The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop artistic skills, creative expression, and an appreciation for visual arts while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment. Primary Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for visual arts. Teach a variety of art courses such as Art I–IV, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, or other specialized subjects based on campus needs. Develop students' technical skills, creativity, and critical thinking through hands-on projects and art history integration. Create a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and artistic exploration. Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance. Display student artwork in classrooms, hallways, exhibitions, and community events. Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and parents to support student success. Participate in school events, professional development, and campus committees as assigned. Manage art supplies, materials, and equipment responsibly and within budget guidelines. Qualifications Required Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Art (EC–12) or eligibility to obtain certification. Knowledge of TEKS curriculum standards and effective instructional strategies. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
