Privately HeldAbout the RoleThe Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be instrumental in translating the CEO's strategic vision into the day-to-day operational execution, with a primary focus on the dealership's core functions, including sales, rental, service, parts, logistics, and fleet management. This role demands a seasoned operational leader with a proven track record in heavy equipment, construction machinery, or industrial distribution environments, and a deep understanding of dealership operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing scalable processes and systems, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.Key responsibilities for the COO include strategic leadership, process improvement, team leadership, operations management, data-driven decision-making, asset and inventory management, financial stewardship, and support for strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience, a Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred), and a strong background in areas such as rental fleets, depreciation strategies, RPO programs, and regulatory/safety compliance. The role also requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, as well as a hands-on yet strategic leadership style. The COO will be expected to build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, OEMs, and strategic suppliers, and to implement and monitor KPIs to ensure the dealership's performance and growth targets are met.Hiring Manager Title
