Job Description We are a growing company seeking a supervisor with experience in road construction and underground utilities. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supervising crews and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, tracking installed materials, and delivering high-quality work according to company standards and project specifications. This position works closely with Project Manager to provide daily updates regarding project progress, installed materials, labor productivity, scheduling impacts, safety concerns, and field operations.Project Coordination & Field Operations:Supervise all daily construction activities and field personnelCoordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and equipmentPlan and organize daily and weekly work activitiesMonitor project schedules and ensure project milestones and deadlines are metCoordinate work sequences to prevent delays and operational conflictsIdentify and resolve field issues promptly to minimize schedule impactsMaterials Tracking & Project Updates:Track all materials delivered, installed, and pending on-Maintain accurate records of materials being installed dailyProvide updates to Project Manager Sam regarding installed materials, shortages, delays, and schedule impactsVerify all materials meet project specifications prior to installationEnsure proper handling, storage, and protection of materials on-siteCrew Supervision & Leadership:Supervise field crews and subcontractors dailyAssign tasks and monitor crew productivity and performanceEnsure crews follow project plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirementsInspect crews daily to ensure proper material usage and installation practicesResponsible for ensuring all work trucks are clean, organized, properly stocked, and maintained according to company standardsInspect crew trucks daily to ensure cleanliness, organization, proper material storage, and compliance with company standards and safety requirementsEnsure crews maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas at all timesAddress and correct crew fault activities, unsafe behavior, policy violations, poor workmanship, and performance issues promptly and professionallyHold crews accountable for professionalism, productivity, cleanliness, safety compliance, and overall jobsite conductSafety Management & Compliance:Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policiesConduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety briefingsEnsure proper PPE usage and safe work practicesPerform routine safety inspections and hazard assessmentsCorrect unsafe conditions and violations immediatelyIncident Reporting & Documentation:Immediately report all incidents, injuries, accidents, and near misses to managementComplete detailed incident and injury reports accurately and promptlyEnsure all required company and OSHA forms are completed and submitted properlyDocument witness statements, photos, corrective actions, and safety findingsDocumentation & Reporting:Complete daily reports and field documentation accuratelyTrack labor hours, equipment usage, installed materials, and project progressProvide daily field updates to Project Manager Sam regarding project progress, safety concerns, crew productivity, and scheduling impactsMaintain organized records of inspections, incidents, deliveries, and change ordersQualifications:Previous construction supervision experience preferredKnowledge of OSHA safety regulations and compliance standardsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple crews and deadlinesCompensation and Benefits:Employer-provided housing is available for candidates requiring local accommodations, subject to availability.Salary is negotiable based on experience.Medical, Dental and Vision insurance available after 60 days of employment.401k, Holiday Pay, PTO (Paid Time Off) after 6 monthsSchedule is typically Monday through Friday.
