Featuring LEGO MINDSTORMS, LEGO WeDo, Arduino, and other technology, students at any level will be challenged while growing in skill and confidence, making friends, having fun, and learning life skills in a collaborative and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.Job Summary:This is a contract role for an Adjunct Instructor at FunWithBots Coding & Robotics STREAMM Lab located in Apollo Beach, Florida.FunWithBots is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Adjunct Instructor to join our team. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of our classes and workshops, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children. If you have a passion for working with children and possess strong classroom management, leadership and communication skills, we encourage you to apply. This job will require the chosen applicant to work in our Apollo Beach Classroom/Lab as well as drive to and from schools with materials and equipment. Access to a reliable vehicle for transportation of materials and driver's license is required.Duties:Discuss lesson plans and new ideas/challenges with team leaderDeliver lesson plans to students 4-18 years old; differentiating instruction for abilityPreparation of materials and rooms before the start of a class/workshopClean-up of rooms and sorting LEGO sets after the end of a class/workshopSupervise and maintain electronic equipmentSupervise and maintain school/venue furniture and equipmentInspire children to engage in activities and collaborate with others to iterate designsSupport SEL (Social Emotional Learning) development of studentsCommunicate parent concerns and deliver timely lesson summaries to Lead InstructorEngage successfully in ongoing training and developmentAdhere to all FunWithBots and partner schools/venues policies and proceduresWork alongside other professionals, such as partner-schools' safeguarding leadsFoster a developmentally appropriate, inclusive, safe, nurturing environment for allBuild professional, trusted relationships with staff, students and parents/guardiansModel appropriate behavior by following the FunWithBots Code of ConductQualifications/Experience:Strong Classroom Management skillsTeaching experience or studying related course18+.
