Material Handler - Weekend Night Shift

Join our team and help us make A Better Pop, for a Better World.What You Will Do:Under the general direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Material Handler will have shared responsibility based on business needs. The Material Handler will move, stack, and unload material, parts or products using an electric forklift and/or reach forklift within or between departments.Responsibilities:Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost saving opportunitiesLoads and unloads trailers following SOP for inspecting, sorting, and temperature monitoring of productsResponsible for moving raw /finished goods in the warehouse as need to support receiving, picking, and shippingMaintains product stored in racks, assuring proper wrapping, and stackingPerforms general duties including cleaning key areas as identified on daily, weekly, monthly checklistsAbide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Safety requirementsRegular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standardsPerform any additional related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager as needed to support the businessMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresRequirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)1 year experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts in manufacturing environment, preferably food environmentBasic math skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersMust be able to lift sacks of up to 50 poundsBasic computer literacy, basic Microsoft and/or inventory ERP systemsMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesFood Safety Requirements:Inspect trailers before loading and off-loading to ensure incoming and outbound shipments are in good conditionThis includes adhering to temperature monitoring and identity preserved inspections (Organic/Kosher status)Follow GMPs when handling raw materials and finished goods to avoid cross-contamination and allergen cross-contactWhen supporting receiving, complete the required documentation accuratelyCollaborate with QA team to address any Food Safety or Quality issues observed during assigned tasksAbide by systemwide GMPs, as required for all JP personnelPhysical Requirements:Regularly required to stand up to 10 hours per dayRequired to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRequired to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsComfortable with heights when operating forklift and managing put away of pallets in the warehouseSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusJob Type: Full-timeShift schedule: Night shift / Thursday - Sunday Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hourJonnyPops offers a competitive benefits package which includes the following:Medical/Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance HSA FSA DCFSA Life & AD&D Insurance Short & Long Term Disability FTO/PTO EAP Programs Paid Holidays Employee Referral Program Sick & Safe Leave 401k Company Sponsored Meal Plan Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or commissionsPowered by JazzHRhH35ybJXXz
