This role is responsible for scheduling employees, programming and setting up laser equipment, monitoring production performance, and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and schedule laser department employees to meet production goalsProgram and set up laser cutting machines for efficient operationMonitor production rates and resolve process issuesEnsure parts meet customer quality specificationsReview and validate accurate production reporting in the ERP systemCoordinate preventative maintenance and machine repairsTrain employees on safety procedures and quality standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaPromote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent5–10 years of experience setting up and programming laser cutting machines5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturingExperience in metal fabrication preferredSkillsStrong leadership and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to read technical drawings and specificationsExperience with ERP systems and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Strong communication and organizational skillsWork EnvironmentManufacturing shop environment with required PPE.
