Tax Preparer (Seasonal)

Job Posting: Tax Preparer We are looking for a part-time tax preparer for the upcoming Tax Season. Expected work load to be 15-30 hours/week from February 03 2025 - April 15 2025. This position has some flexibility in hours and working location. Duties: 1. Prepare accurate personal tax returns. 2. Ensure that work-papers are clear, concise, well written, and in conformity with firm standards and professional requirements. 3. Track and manage tasks. 4. Research tax issues and implement resolutions or provide recommendations as necessary. 5. Stay abreast of developments and changes in tax law. 6. Communicate with clients as needed. Qualifications: 1. Minimum of one year tax preparation experience required. 2. CPA, EA, LTC, or LTP required. 3. Extremely organized with an ability to manage projects. 4. Be a creative problem solver. 5. Strong computer skills. Experience working in QuickBooks and Proconnect Tax Online preferred. 6. Comfortable with virtual tools such as video conferencing. 7. Experience working in a paperless environment preferred. 8. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 9. Excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards. 10. Be professional, friendly, and a possess a desire for growth. Compensation: Compensation will be $25 to $50 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
