At Third Coast, we're seeking a Customer Service Representative who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service while driving operational excellence.Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative’s main task is to provide exceptional customer service to our existing customers via telephone and email.Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Confer with customers by telephone, in person and by email in order to provide information about products and services. Coordinate transportation of materials into and out of the plant, including rail, tanker truck, samples and packaged goods. Complete transportation documentation. Assist with shipping and scheduling problems. Responsible for providing coverage for team members. Create customer invoices and purchase orders as well as verify services provided and maintain orders. Have a thorough understanding of internal plant processes such as Blending, Shipping, and Production in order to best support the customer. Create orders in operating system to account for customer requests. Assist in internal departments in resolving any issues that arise. Communicate order progress to customers. Act as departmental liaison to ensure continued production and customer satisfaction. Track and ensure accuracy of customer orders including affiliated documents. Responsible for getting written approval from the customer for overtime. Process all required documents in a time period which meets the Third Coast standard. Observe all safety policies and procedures. Participate in plant safety processes and immediately report any unsafe conditions. Remain current on the requirements of the Quality Program ensure that your actions support the Quality Policy towards continual improvement. Knowledge and Skills: High School Graduate or GED REQUIRED College degree is a plus; experience in lieu of degreeWork Experience: Minimum of 35 years in Customer Service/Materials Logistics roleSkills and Competencies: Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook Detail oriented with excellent organization skills Ability to work within a team or independently as required Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required Professional and courteous behavior Good communication skills both verbal and written Ability to multitask and meet required deadlines Motivated to provide excellent customer service SAP experience helpful but not requiredPhysical Requirements 100% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking and viewing.
