Job DescriptionThe client is seeking to hire a Program Manager to support the implementation of the DC Municipal Regulations. The contractor will support implementation of the regulations, enhance efficiency, and provide technical assistance.Employment Type: Contract w2/1099/C2CThe contractor will work with the client to ensure Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs) adhere to the state approval processes. Specifically, the Program Manager will ensure EPP compliance with all regulatory requirements, create resources that provide EPPs with clear guidance related to the regulations, coordinate technical assistance efforts with programs that do not fully meet the standards, and write/review reports generated as a result of state review visits. The Program Manager must have experience in the accreditation and state approval of educator preparation programs, implementing the science of reading in teacher preparation, and teacher apprenticeships.SkillsStrong communication skills – ability to articulate technical terms and complex data clearly to non-technical audience both verbally and in writing. Required 11 YearsExperience leading clinical practices for students pursuing a degree in education. Required 5 YearsBachelor’s degree or related field or equivalent experience. Required 15 YearsMS Office + MS Project or other Project Management software. Required 11 YearsExperience working in a University setting within a School or College of Education. Required 11 YearsPreviously held the title of “Dean”, “Interim Dean”, or “Associate Dean” at a University, focused on Education. Required 5 YearsExperience creating and/or implementing a registered teacher apprenticeship.
