Project Manager - Heavy Civil

This is an awesome opportunity to be an integral member a high functioning Project Management team. Our jobsites are located throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley so no out of town travel is expected.Position Summary:The Project Manager provides management direction to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with client contracts, and monitors construction and financial activities. The Project Manager is responsible for directing and mentoring on-site staff. This position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage projects from preconstruction through project closeoutDevelop new and maintain current client relationships for long term successServe as the primary contact for clients, as well as the liaison between client representatives and field employees regarding project updatesDevelop and maintain a thorough understanding of the provisions and requirements of all contract and other project documentsCreate and manage project schedule and coordinate with internal team, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholdersResponsible for ensuring compliance with company safety policies and OSHA safety standardsResponsible for project conformity of project plans, specifications, details and supplemental specifications as well as quality of workmanship and efficienciesSupervises the project activities of the on-site project engineer, field superintendent, and other field resourcesOther duties as assigned by supervisorREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to execute project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) or Job Order Contracts (JOC)Knowledge of CPM Project Scheduling, MS Office Suite, including MS ProjectAbility to read and interpret blueprintsUnderstanding of BluestakeKnowledge of crew configurations and labor productionsUnderstanding of MAG, MCDOT, ADOT, MCAQD, ADEQ and Greater Phoenix Municipal StandardsUnderstanding of, and ability to use, construction software such as Hard Dollar, On-Screen Take Off, and Agtek, or similar estimating softwareKnowledge of Arizona Heavy Civil market a plusAbility to communicate professionally and effectively through all mediums to staff, management, peers, clients, business partnersEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college, technical school, or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent experience in a similar estimating or engineering positionA minimum of 6 years of construction related project management experience with a general contractorPrevious experience with Sage CRE 300, TimberScan, Microsoft Projects or similar software preferredProficiency in using Microsoft Office programs; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Position includes competitive salary, benefits, company vehicle & fuel card.We do E-Verify, Background Checks, and Drug Screenings.DCS Contracting, Inc. offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) plan with company match, PTO, paid holidays, and company paid life insurance.DCS Contracting, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
