Warehouse Associate

Job Description EHC is currently looking for a Warehouse Associate in the north Houston, TX area.Job Summary:The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in providing logistical support for the entire warehouse. This position primarily focuses on tasks such as picking, packing, manufacturing, assembly, cycle counting, quality assurance, and housekeeping. Additionally, there will be some involvement in shipping and receiving functions, with exposure to operating machinery (such as forklifts). This is an on-site hourly position, and additional work hours may be assigned during peak times and year-end.Responsibilities:Follow all company-established rules, policies, safety guidelines, quality standards, and process documentationHandle parcel shipping and other related shipping functionsMaintain a clean and organized work areaMaintain and upkeep equipmentCollaborate with management to achieve key objectivesProcess, pack, and accurately ship ordersMonitor quality indicators to ensure compliance with company requirementsAccurately process merchandise for customersSafely move pallets using a pallet jack (occasional operating a forklift)Efficiently handle freight across various functions within the buildingEngage in problem-solving and actively contribute to continuous improvementFoster a spirit of learning and growth as a team memberMaintain a positive and respectful attitude while working both independently and in a team environmentAssist in daily shipping and receiving operationsBe available for overtime as business needs dictatePerform other related duties as directedEffective communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to quality standards, accuracy, and organizational skillsBasic computer proficiency for job-related tasksFundamental math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)Physical capability to work 8-12-hour shifts, stand, and liftingMust have very high-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skillsRequirement:Bilingual (English/Spanish)Stock picker experienceCherry picker experienceReach truck experienceStand-up forklift experienceSit-down forklift experienceFamiliarity with JD Edwards or other ERP systems a plus
