The Senior Buyer will have primary procurement responsibilities for multiple business areas, supporting Assembly & Test and other functions. This role requires a mix of strategic supplier development and day-to-day buying activities to ensure program schedules are met and cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved.As our Senior Buyer, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:Acting as a procurement leader within the organization representing supply chainCreating and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodity/categoriesNegotiating supplier contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and risk reductionManaging supplier performance, on-time delivery and quality metrics; escalating and resolving supplier issuesCollaborating with shop planning, production, and engineering to support component gating and kit releasesConducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation plans for material and supplier risksPerforming data-driven analyses and trend analysis to identify opportunities and forecast needsPlacing and expediting purchase orders; monitoring PO status and delivery datesProviding reliable completion and delivery dates to internal stakeholdersSupporting master planning with basic forecasting inputs and procurement lead-time updatesLeading or participating in cross-functional problem-solving initiatives to remove supply constraintsParticipating in or leading continuous improvement activities for the procurement function or business unitMentoring junior buyers and contributing to team developmentTo be considered for the Senior Buyer role, you will need to bring with you:A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field, and 2 years planning experience~OR~An Associate’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field, and 6 years planning experience~PLUS~Strong communication and organizational skillsStrong sense of urgencyThis position requires a full physical which includes bloodwork and Pulmonary Function testingIt would also be ideal if you had the following preferred qualifications: Any advanced degree or professional certifications are a plusExperience with PowerBIExperience in supporting lean manufacturingHow We Care For YouFinancial Rewards: Great compensation package, bonus opportunities, matching 401k and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Work/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages Professional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs Collaborative and Welcoming Culture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment rooted in our 12 core values. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
