Planner

Edko is currently seeking energetic entry-level and experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. Our field positions are ideal for entry-level professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental science or a related discipline and seasoned professionals with experience in these fields and line of work. Utility Planners perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines; submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; and serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers. Requirements Strong computer skills (used daily). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read maps and use GPS. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work without supervision with self-accountability and good time management. Self starter who plans ahead, problem solves, and keeps crews working. Flexible schedule; storm hours could require longer days and weekends. Ability to drive and be covered by the company’s insurance carrier guidelines.
