Production Control Clerk

Our associates make the world more productive by improving the efficiency and reliability of the machinery that keeps industry in motion.General duties and responsibilities:Reviews production and shipment schedules to determine material requirements and priorities for production, conferring with production supervisors.Compiles documents on costs, inventory consumption and problems encountered in production.Generates production orders; records, compiles, and performs system transactions related to production data, material consumption and other important elements of production.Examines production documentation/work process documents to evaluate accuracy, completeness and conformance to required materials management processes.Compiles essential information, such as materials used, inventories and other vital customer information, for the efficient and accurate completion of status reports.Makes arrangements for the delivery and distribution of component parts and supplies as needed to meet production schedules.Supports inventory cycle counting activities in order to determine root cause for inventory discrepancies.Records, organizes and maintains any documentation pertaining to production and inventory records.Other duties and responsibilities as needed in support of plant operations.Technical/functional skills required:Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsBasic computer skills using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.Working knowledge or experience with ERP system (SAP preferred)Education/experience required:High School Diploma / GED2 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentPhysical demands & frequency:Frequent walking and bendingMay be required to lift up to 40 lbsLimited repetitive activitiesEnvironmental conditions:Loud production environment; exposure to metals, lubricants, temperatures up to 100 degrees (non-air conditioned environment)Protective clothing and personal devices:Safety glasses/shields; appropriate manufacturing close-toed safety footwear; hearing protection may be required or other protective equipment as needed.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
