Career Welder - Day Shift

Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring a Career Welder at our Saginaw, TX plant. The Career Welder position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. What you'll do: Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding and/or semi-automatic welding equipment May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications Work on semi-routine assignments May be involved in safety committees or initiatives What you'll need: 1 - 2 years of related welding experience Hand welds in all positions Performs repairs to subassemblies for final products Experience with Oxy Fuel Experience with Carbon Arc May conduct NDE tests Some understanding of the technical aspects of the job Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
