Job Title: Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Remote – USA) Job Type: W2 Contract (12+ Months) Pay Rate: $60/hour (W2) Location: 100% Remote (Must be based in the United States) Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (No C2C / No Visa Sponsorship) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in database performance tuning, high availability architectures, and cloud migration. This is a long-term W2 contract opportunity supporting enterprise-scale environments across AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Key Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and support Oracle database environments (11g, 12c, 19c or higher) Perform advanced database performance tuning and optimization Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate) Lead and support database migration projects to AWS and OCI Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or similar tools Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams Ensure data security, compliance, and backup/recovery strategies Provide on-call support as needed for critical production environments Required Qualifications: 15+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA Strong hands-on experience with: Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM Performance tuning (AWR, ASH, execution plans) Proven experience with cloud migrations (on-prem to AWS/OCI) Experience working in AWS (RDS Oracle, EC2) and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar) Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle GoldenGate Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines Oracle certifications (OCP, OCI certifications) are a plus Additional Information: 100% Remote role (U.S.-based candidates only) Long-term contract with potential for extension No third-party vendors, C2C, or sponsorship available
