Warehouse LeadThe primary purpose of the Warehouse Lead is to support the Warehouse Manager through either inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor and to facilitate effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff, in accordance with operational priorities. This job also delegates work among the warehouse staff and produces reports on workforce productivity and quality. The Warehouse Lead also communicates with customers outside the warehouse to communicate disruptions, provide updates on delivery timeframes and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Follows standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations to facilitate successful operational activities within the warehouse. Directs workflows on the floor of the warehouse, including packing, unloading, shipping and managing delivery schedule. Coordinates with Warehouse Administrator to align on warehouse and inventory priorities, in alignment with operational objectives. Assists in inventory management, and helps with stocking and shipping, as necessary. Receives all inventory and maintains accurate records of shipments and goods received for all assigned center of operation. Conducts physical inventory audits and spot audits for all assigned centers of operation, researches any deficiencies and identifies solutions. Oversees inventory in assigned centers of operation by ensuring all 3PL and center cycle count requirements, inventory management and audits are completed successfully and in a timely manner. Reduces operational costs by reconciling missing and wrongfully transacted inventory. Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility General Skills and Competencies Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Very good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information Ability to work in a team environment Ability to multi-task Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities Some knowledge of Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Some experience with high volume inventory movement Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods.
