Senior Project Manager - Commercial HVAC

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects in a hands-on subcontractor environment with full ownership of execution and performance. This role is responsible for managing complex HVAC installations, piping systems, and field operations across multiple concurrent jobs. The position requires a highly experienced PM who can operate independently, drive project outcomes, and support overall project delivery in a fast-paced contractor setting. This role is critical to maintaining timelines, margins, and operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesOversee multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring performance across schedule, budget, and qualityLead field teams, subcontractors, and internal staff across concurrent job sitesManage complex HVAC installations, piping systems, and mechanical scopes across projectsDrive project schedules, cost control, and execution while resolving risks and delaysInterface with clients, inspectors, and leadership to maintain alignment and project successReview drawings, specifications, and project requirements to guide field executionOversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and overall project documentationSupport procurement strategy, subcontractor selection, and jobsite coordinationRequirements8+ years of experience managing commercial HVAC or mechanical construction projectsStrong background in commercial HVAC systems (residential-only experience will not be considered)Experience working for a mechanical contractor, HVAC subcontractor, or design-build mechanical firmProven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with full ownershipAbility to lead field teams, subcontractors, and project staff across active jobsStrong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, and project executionExperience with project scheduling and cost management tools (Microsoft Project or similar preferred)Must be comfortable in a hands-on, small-company environment with broad responsibilitiesBenefitsCompensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
