This position is Limited-Term for 24 months and not 12 months as stated above, with a possibility of becoming permanent, in which the incumbent would serve a one-year probationary period. Job Description And Duties THIS POSITION IS PENDING FREEZE EXEMPTION APPROVAL Effective July 31, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 16, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 4.62 percent and will receive 8 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through November 2026. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period. This position is designated as Confidential. Under the administrative direction of the Regional Health Care Executive, CEA, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is in charge of and will manage the California Health Care Facility, which includes multiple intermediate and acute health care programs for adult patients-inmates of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). Through subordinate staff, which includes custody, medical, dental and mental health professionals of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), and the California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS), the CEO has responsibility for all of the Facility’s operations. This position is responsible for the Facility’s effectiveness, and for coordination with departmental headquarters, other CDCR institutions, and for external relationships with governmental, legislative, community and business leaders at the state and local level. This position is located at the California Health Care Facility in Stockton, California. Candidate may be eligible for relocation reimbursement if they meet the criteria requirements.
