Drywall BIM Coordinator📍 Alexandria, Virginia 💰 Competitive Salary + Benefits PackageAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drywall BIM Coordinator to join a growing construction and interiors team based in Alexandria. This role will focus on coordinating drywall and interior systems through BIM processes across commercial construction projects.The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, VDC teams, field operations, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate modeling, clash detection, and coordination of drywall systems throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage, and coordinate drywall BIM models using Revit and related softwareProduce detailed shop drawings, framing layouts, and installation drawingsCoordinate drywall, ceilings, framing, and specialty systems with MEP and structural tradesConduct clash detection and participate in coordination meetingsReview construction documents and identify discrepancies or coordination issuesSupport field teams with model-based solutions and drawing revisionsMaintain BIM standards, workflows, and project documentationCollaborate with estimators and project managers during preconstruction and construction phasesEnsure models and drawings align with project schedules and deadlinesAssist with as-built models and closeout documentationRequirements3+ years of experience in BIM coordination within drywall, interiors, or commercial constructionStrong knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, ceilings, and interior fit-out packagesProficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawingsExperience with clash detection and multidisciplinary coordinationStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and within project teamsKnowledge of US construction standards and practices preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience working on large commercial, healthcare, mission critical, or mixed-use projectsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldUnderstanding of prefab and modular construction methodsFamiliarity with Bluebeam and ProcoreWhat’s on OfferCompetitive base salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) packagePaid time off and holidaysCareer progression opportunitiesCollaborative and technology-driven environmentApply NowIf you are a BIM professional with drywall and interiors experience looking for your next opportunity in the DMV market, we would like to hear from you.
