Moore Community House Early Head Start Position Description: Custodian Requirements: Vaccinated for COVID 19 and cleared Federal Background Check Salary: $10.00 per hour or dependent upon experience General Responsibilities: The custodian is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all Head Start children and shall be responsible for general cleaning at the center assigned. Specific Responsibilities: · Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and waxes all floors. · Removes trash and garbage from building daily. · Makes minor repairs to center building and playground equipment. · Cuts grass on center grounds. · Performs cleaning tasks such as dusting, washing windows and walls. · Inspects buildings and ground for unsafe conditions. · Removes hazardous debris from center grounds. · Recruits volunteers and in-kind contributions. · Any other duties deemed necessary. Educational Requirements: · Must have High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of training. · Must be in good health and able to lift up to 60 pounds. · Minor skills in carpentry and electrical work helpful, but not required. · Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team. Special Requirements: · Annual physical exam, including TB test. · Must attend meetings/workshops as required. · Background Checks.
