Established in 2000, our firm has grown to include over 115 attorneys with extensive experience and strong problem-solving skills developed over decades of practice.We are a dynamic, fast-paced, and expanding full-service law firm seeking a Paralegal to join our Family Law / Matrimonial Department in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant and a strong interest in family and matrimonial law.Key Responsibilities:Draft and prepare motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, and other legal documents, including debt and asset lists, child support worksheets, and responsive pleadingsAct as a liaison between clients and attorneys, including conducting client interviewsPrepare trial notebooks and assist during trials as neededCompile and review discovery packages, including disclosure statements, interrogatories, and document productionMaintain detailed calendars using Outlook and coordinate scheduling of internal and external meetingsServe pleadings, discovery documents, and demandsAssist with litigation document preparationPlan and schedule appointmentsAnswer inbound phone callsMaintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical)Perform general office and administrative tasks as neededHandle court filings, including e-filing in Family Court, state, and federal courtsTrack court dates and deadlinesReview bank statements and financial documentsManage a heavy caseload while maintaining a high level of organizationRequest conflict checks, open new client matters, submit electronic approvals, and assist with administrative tasksUse MS Office applications, including Excel, as well as Westlaw and ProLawCommunicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and staffComplete other ad hoc projects as requiredRequired Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:2-4 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably in family or matrimonial lawParalegal certificate requiredStrong organizational and time-management skillsExperience reviewing financial and disclosure documentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independentlyProficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office softwareAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and staffCompensation and Benefits:Salary range: $55,000-$70,000, commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, and morePosition based in Brooklyn, NY
