YMCA Before and/or After School Assistant or Lead- East Porter County: Part-Time

Consider being a YMCA School Age Assistant or Lead that travels to our East Porter County School locations: Kouts Elementary School Morgan Township Elementary Schools Washington Elementary School This is a part-time position, hours: Before School: Monday-Friday 6:00-8:30am OR After School: Monday-Friday 2:00-6:00pm Or you have the option to work both before and after school positions. You may select your preference when applying. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ensure the safety of all children; maintain a high level of confidentiality. Follow provided curriculum activities, interacting with and motivating children. Document attendance. Provide feedback to parents. Perform opening and/or closing procedures as required and outlined in guidelines. Adhere to work schedule work and substitute for other staff as needed. Follow emergency procedures and safety precautions. Follow procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards. Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations as outlined in employee handbook and other communications. Obtain and maintained required training(s). Accept additional assignments as deemed appropriate, within the scope of the job description. Salary: Assistants- Starts at $13.00 an hour Leads- Starts at $13.50 an hour JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum age 18 required. Previous child care experience preferred. Physical ability and stamina to perform the duties as outlined above, including but not limited to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking; bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
