Registered Nurse

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care in a Long Term Care facility. Responsibilities include patient care, medication administration, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The role requires previous travel experience and a willingness to work either day or night shifts based on facility needs.Location:Seward, Alaska, United StatesResponsibilities:- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Long Term Care setting.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.- Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms.- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.- Assist patients with activities of daily living.- Float within scope to meet facility needs.Required Skills & Certifications:- Active AK Registered Nurse license in hand- BLS certification- Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care experience- Previous travel experiencePreferred Skills & Certifications:- Willingness/ability to work any holidaysSpecial Considerations:- Variable shifts (4x12 or 3x12), either days or nights, based on facility needs.- Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years).- Traveler can be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.- Facility will arrange for a vehicle for traveler to use while on assignment.Scheduling:- 4x12 or 3x12 Variable shifts- Shifts will be either Days or Nights, dependent on facility needs at time of start date.
