Transportation Engineer

As a Transportation Engineer at Robinson, you will have the opportunity to complete designs working on all phases and aspects of transportation projects from inception through construction. Your New Opportunity
Working on all phases and aspects of transportation projects from inception through construction
Leading and managing the technical design of transportation projects with a strong emphasis on the following:
Roadway geometrics design
Utility and drainage design
Hydraulic modeling and analysis
Maintenance of traffic design
Traffic analysis and traffic signal design
Public involvement coordination
Phase I/II design tasks for IDOT
Reviewing design plans for compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Interfacing with municipal clients, utility districts, and state agencies
Attending conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's services
Your Background and Credentials
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 8 years experience
An active PE in the state of Illinois
Experience designing roadways for municipalities, various Illinois counties and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is desired
Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel, is required
Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to be collaborative
Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 annually. Final compensation is dependent on multiple factors including years of experience, any applicable licensure and/or certifications, and internal pay structures.
