Operator Superintendent - St. Louis

Goodwin Brothers Construction Company has a career opportunity for an Operator Superintendent.Qualifications:3 years of experience in an Assistant Superintendent, supervisory, or high-level leadership role working in heavy industrial or civil construction with in-depth knowledge of processes, materials, and equipment especially in wet infrastructure and utilities5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment and performing excavation and earthmoving workDemonstrated proficiency in GPS knowledge, including machine control, layout, etc.All candidates must either be current members of a local union or be willing to join one upon hireMust be currently living in the Greater St. Louis area.The ideal candidate has experience in a leadership role. Job responsibilities include:Oversee and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetEnsure all company protocols and excavation regulations are followedOperate equipment proficiently in a safe and efficient manner, while producing high quality work and meeting production goals.Enforce safety and quality control procedures.Collaborate and build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project executionKeep all parties updated on project progress and concernsManage equipment needs, repairs, and maintenanceEnsure equipment is safely and securely stored when not in use.Resolve any on-site issues promptly, making decisions that align with project objectives and company policiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and any relevant documentationEnsure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirementsConduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues, manage quality control, and ensure work is progressing as plannedPrepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and change ordersManage the on-site company workforce to ensure proper training, compliance with company policies and procedures, and give ongoing performance feedbackCompensation: The starting compensation range is $90,000 to $130,000.
