Traveling Fire Alarm Technician
We are seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians with a passion for their craftto support the installation of fire alarm systems on large commercial projects. This role involves hands-on installation of fire alarm devices and cabling, primarily working day shifts, with regional travel required for 3–4 weeks at a time in a company vehicle after completing orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Install fire alarm devices on large commercial sites.
Pull, route, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling.
Install panels, detectors, pull stations, Fire alarm Horns, Fire alarm strobes, panel upgrades, and test and inspect fire alarm systems.
Experience and confidence in installing and troubleshooting Glass breaks, light up exit signs,
Read and follow drawings, layouts, and installation plans.
Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems.
Follow all job-site safety policies and procedures.
Maintain clean and professional work areas.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience installing Fire Alarm systems.
Experience working on large commercial projects.
Ability to travel regionally for 3–4 weeks at a time.
Ability to work day shifts.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with systems such as Notifier, Simplex, Edwards, Fire-Lite, Bosch, Honeywell, EST, Edwards panels and devices, Gamewell, or DSC.
NICET certification (NICET I, or NICET 2 or Higher) (Fire Alarm)
