Position TitleBusiness Reporting and Insights Analyst, Sr. Analyst, Lead AnalystLocationDes Moines, IA, United StatesOverviewThis is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for levels 13, 14 or 15 depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise. As a member of the Berkshire Hathaway Energy Corporate Reporting and Analysis team, the analyst is responsible for developing reporting and analysis, consulting with team members, and designing reports and presentations to meet required formats and standards.ResponsibilitiesProvide continuous updates and insights to all levels of the organization in the form of standard reports and scorecards, ad-hoc analysis, strategic plans, forecasts, new technology business cases and advanced analytics insights.Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operations business scorecard or key performance indicators and develop and organize performance reports for both internal and external use.Contribute to the development of short-term and long-range business planning, perform detailed analysis on a variety of issues to facilitate budgetary decision-making, and provide summary analysis and recommendations to management.Assist with special projects including research, gathering and validating data, modeling and economic analysis and summarizing results for management.Provide support for key executive reviews including deck preparation, data collection/analysis and consolidation.Develop metrics and reporting, prepare and present data, gather and maintain project information for multiple projects.Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit.Recommend and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, communications, finance or accounting, or a related field.
