Position Title: Concession Stand Lead Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager Compensation: $22.90 an hour Classification: Part‑Time, non‑exempt Location: ONT Field (Ontario, CA) ONT Field employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11 and a condition of employment is union membership. Position Description The Concession Stand Lead is responsible for overseeing a concession stand with multiple employees, including cashiers, cooks, counters, bartenders, and bar backs. The position includes pre‑event setup, event day operations, and event‑specific closing/check‑out. The Concession Stand Lead reports to the Concession Manager and is a part‑time, event‑based role within the Food and Beverage Department. Hours fluctuate with the arena event schedule. Essential Functions Provide oversight of team members within their designated areas, ensuring hospitality, money exchange, safe food handling, responsible alcohol service, and adherence to general policies and procedures. Assist with pre‑event setup, including inventory counting, equipment activation, warehouse requisition verification, and setting stanchions. Verify opening inventory counts and ensure proper execution of responsible alcohol service. Maintain proper sanitation and food safety, and complete documentation for each shift (temperature logs, inventory sheets, void sheets, spoilage tracking, lunches, breaks, alcohol sheets, etc.). Assist in training new team members and verifying completion of side work. Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation throughout the event. Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage areas. Conduct end‑of‑night walk‑throughs to secure inventory and maintain sanitation and appearance standards. Support other Food & Beverage departments as needed and collaborate with operational counterparts to meet service standards. Monitor incidents, report to supervisors and manager, and maintain excellent customer service. Qualifications Minimum age 21 years. 1–2 years of experience in a leadership role within a fast‑paced hospitality environment. Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills. Flexible schedule; able to work 90% of monthly events, including nights, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or GED required. Must possess a valid food handler’s card (training covered by the company) and a TIPS certification. Strong customer service orientation and ability to work independently. Licenses & Certificates A valid food handler’s card (must be obtained within 30 days of hire). TIPS certification for responsible alcohol service. Physical & Environmental Requirements Perform tasks with moderate supervision, including pushing and pulling doors, lifting, stooping, bending, and lifting at least 25 lbs. Walk for long distances for more than 50% of the workday; work may occur inside or outside the building. Ability to work until 12:00am or later and pass a background check.
