ASSEMBLER

AssemblerThe Assembler is responsible for building and assembling hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders in accordance with engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. This position involves hands-on assembly of components, including seals, pistons, rods, and tubes, as well as inspection and testing to ensure proper function and durability. The Assembler will work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements, maintain efficiency, and ensure a safe, organized work environment. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality products are essential to success in this role.Essential Duties: (Additional duties may be assigned as required.)Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.Install seals, pistons, rods, end caps, and other cylinder components with accuracy and efficiency.Inspect parts for defects, proper fit, and quality prior to and during assembly.Perform pressure and functional testing of completed cylinders to verify performance and safety standards.Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc.) during assembly.Maintain accurate production and quality records.Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.Communicate issues with parts, materials, or equipment to supervisors or quality control staff.Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.Operate a forklift and pallet jack.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentAble to prioritize jobsAble to work a minimum of 40 hours per weekMechanical backgroundAbility to read basic blueprintsAble to read a tape measure and calipersPrior heavy assembly experience is a plusAbility to lift 50 lbs.Attention to detail is criticalKnowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:Mechanically inclinedAbility to read blueprints.Ability to read tape measures.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
