As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable and telecommunication systems to ensure reliable and efficient services for customers. This role involves working both indoors and outdoors, interacting with customers, and adhering to safety and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Installation of Cable Systems: Run cables and wires to connect homes or businesses to cable television, internet, or phone services. Install and configure cable modems, set-top boxes, and other necessary equipment. Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests to ensure proper functioning of installed systems. Identify and resolve technical issues, signal problems, and connectivity issues. Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform routine maintenance to ensure the ongoing reliability of cable systems. Upgrade systems to meet new technology standards and improve performance. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain the installation process, address concerns, and provide information on using cable services. Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a professional and customer-friendly manner. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others during installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Use proper safety equipment and procedures, especially when working at heights or in adverse weather conditions. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Provide documentation for customers and internal records. Equipment Management: Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition. Report any faulty equipment and request replacements as needed. Adherence to Standards: Follow industry standards and regulations related to cable installation and maintenance. Stay updated on technological advancements and industry best practices. Requirements: - Previous experience in cable installation or a related field is preferred but not required -Valid Driver License and Social Security - White Minivan OR Pick-up Truck/NOT MANDATORY - Own Tools not required but preferred. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $1,500.00 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
