It focuses on integrating intelligent solutions and AI to support mission objectives at scale, particularly in defense-related research and development environments.About the Opportunity:The DATA ENGINEER - MID-LEVEL will design and optimize data systems and pipelines to support AI and machine learning applications within a Navy IT command. This role ensures scalable, reliable data processing and enhances mission-critical operations by improving data quality, security, and workflow efficiency.Responsibilities:Analyze use cases and requirements to develop data solution designs.Collaborate with stakeholders to refine enterprise metrics and identify data sources.Develop and maintain data architectures, models, standards, and integrations.Create and update documentation of data terms, metrics, and business rules.Implement automation through software-intensive solutions.Requirements:5 years supporting operations with data management and analysis.3 years in data management, analysis, and visualization.3 years Business Intelligence experience using QLIK Advana.Expertise in designing varied data visualizations.Project planning, risk identification, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.Technical skills in Python, SQL, data modeling, APIs, and data architecture.Knowledge of AI libraries.BS degree in Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, Business Intelligence, Business Administration or Finance, Statistics, or Management Information Systems.Pay Range and Compensation Package:Salary starting at 95k+ based on education and experience.Benefits & Perks:Paid maternity leaveEqual Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
