We strive to develop and maintain properties that positively impact our communities while fostering long-term relationships with tenants.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Assistant Controller role based in Fayetteville, NY. The Assistant Controller will work directly with our controller to support the financial operations of the company, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, audit utility bills, and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations. Additionally, the role involves monitoring incoming rent payments, outgoing payables, budgets, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and coordinating audits or tax filing activities in collaboration with external partners.QualificationsStrong financial management skills, including experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger reconciliation.Proficient in accounting software, Excel, and other financial tools to ensure precise data management and analysis.Knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and tax preparation processes.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a detail-oriented and deadline-driven environment.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.Prior experience in a commercial real estate office and/or industryPrior history working in property management and accounting is a plus, but not required.
