Job Description An Aerospace Paint Finisher prepares, coats, and finishes aircraft surfaces and parts to meet strict quality, safety, and Boeing specifications. Key responsibilities include cleaning, sanding, masking, mixing primers/paints, and applying coatings with precision spray equipment. This role demands attention to detail for corrosion control and surface finishes, adhering to safety protocols.Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.Key Responsibilities • Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, strip paint, and remove corrosion from aircraft parts, components, or structures. • Masking & Layout: Apply specialized masking tape and masking agents to protect areas not being painted, following blueprints. • Paint Application: Mix, thin, and spray epoxy, primer, and polyurethane topcoats on interior and exterior surfaces. • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate spray guns, pressure tanks, and paint booths, ensuring they are cleaned and maintained. • Quality & Inspection: Perform visual inspections, touch-ups, and polishing to ensure compliance with aerospace standards. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and curing times.Qualifications and Requirements • Experience: No experience necessary, but 1+ years of experience in aerospace painting preferred• Skills: Proficiency with paint spray equipment and understanding of, or ability to learn, BAC (Boeing) or other aerospace specifications. • Physical Ability: Ability to lift 10-35 lbs, work in confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE). xaygatp Ability to pass a respirator fit testTypical Work Environment • Hazardous environments requiring strict adherence to safety (respirators, PPE).
