Type: Onsite (≈95%); virtual first interview, onsite second if needed
Pay: $65/hr (W2)
About the Role
We are seeking an Interiors Engineer to support aircraft interior equipment design, maintenance, and engineering change activities. In this role you will develop interior equipment specifications and maintenance programs, investigate reliability and serviceability issues, design corrective actions, and create Engineering Orders to update aircraft interior equipment and configurations. You will collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders including Flight, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Aircraft Production.
Key Responsibilities
Develop interior equipment specifications and interior maintenance programs.
Investigate reliability/serviceability issues and design corrective actions.
Prepare Engineering Orders (EOs) to modify aircraft interior equipment and configurations.
Provide technical interface with manufacturers and suppliers.
Support cross-functional teams (Flight, Marketing, QA, Production) on engineering-related programs and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. Electrical Engineering preferred.
0–5 years of experience in aircraft engineering or related experience.
Familiarity with aircraft interiors and regulatory requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with airline processes and procedures.
Experience with aircraft cabin electrical systems, in-flight entertainment (IFE), and onboard WiFi/wireless connectivity.
