Medical Office Manager

The Medical Office Manager oversees all administrative and operational functions of the family medical practice to ensure efficient, compliant, and patient-centered operations. This role manages staff, finances, billing, compliance, and daily workflows while working closely with physicians and external partners.The Medical Office Manager fosters a positive office culture, supports quality improvement initiatives, and ensures excellent patient experience and financial performance in a collaborative, hands-on environment.$45,000 to $70,000 plus annual bonusSalary is based on experience8 am - 5 pm M - FMedical Office Management experience requiredMedical Office Manager Qualifications:Bachelor's or associate degree in healthcare administration, business, management, or a related field, or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a medical office management or healthcare leadership role.Supervisory or team leadership experience, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.Experience with bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting, including accounts payable/receivable and key practice financial metrics.Experience with insurance verification and billing workflows.Experience with revenue cycle management.Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software (e.g. eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar platforms).Working knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and OIG guidelines. - Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).Self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability to independently identify, analyze, and resolve operational and personnel issues.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing operational demands.Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, providers, and external partners.Comfort working in a small-practice, hands-on environment where flexibility and collaboration are essential.Responsibilities Required of the Medical Office Manager:The Manager is expected to be on site during clinic operating hours. Additional time will be required for meetings and staff support outside of business hours.The Manager holds responsibility for all office operations, reports directly to the physicians, and operates with guidance from the physician owners of the practice.Manage office finances with support from the accounting firm.
