Data/Network Supervisor
SUMMARYThis position is located in the Information Systems (IS) Department. The Data/Network Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operation of the Casino's computer, network, and gaming data systems and provides direct supervision to IS staff. The position is hands-on and is responsible for helping ensure the availability, stability, and basic security of these systems in a 24/7 gaming environment. The incumbent plans and coordinates daily work for the IS department, assists with departmental budgeting, and works closely with other departments and outside vendors to support user access, system connectivity, and gaming interfaces (including slot systems and other casino applications). The Data/Network Supervisor is responsible for implementing approved policies and procedures, supporting compliance with the System of Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), and reporting system-related issues and discrepancies to Casino Management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Provides day-to-day supervision of IS staff, including assigning work, monitoring priorities, and supporting basic training and development.Assists Casino Management with preparation and monitoring of the IS operating and capital budget, including quotes, purchase requests, and tracking of technology-related expenses.Oversees the operation of Casino servers, storage, and core network equipment; coordinates maintenance, upgrades, and repairs with vendors as needed.Coordinates installation and maintenance of network cabling and related infrastructure to support reliable connectivity.Ensures gaming machines and related systems are properly interfaced with the Konami Synkros system; monitors gaming interfaces and works with Slots, Bingo, and other departments to resolve issues.Installs, configures, and deploys computers, printers, and standard software for Casino departments; manages approved software updates and basic license tracking in line with Casino policies.Provides first-line support for computer, network, and business systems; troubleshoots issues and escalates to outside vendors or management when necessary.Develops and runs routine and ad-hoc reports from Synkros and other Casino systems to support operational and management needs; documents and communicates variances or issues to Casino Management.Assists with the implementation of basic security practices, including applying approved updates, antivirus checks, backups, and access control in coordination with Casino policies and vendors.Maintains inventories and simple technical documentation for systems, software, and network-related equipment in the Casino environment.Ensures departmental practices comply with MICS, Casino policies, and applicable regulations; coordinates the scheduling of system changes to minimize disruption to Casino operations.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAbility to train employees.Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.Ability to work in a smoking environment.Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.QUALIFICATIONS* Must know and understand the State Gaming Compact and operational policies and procedures.* Must be certifiable through the Cocopah Tribal Gaming Office and the Arizona Department of Gaming.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in a related field1-year equivalent to at least TS-6, 2-year specialized work experience, 4 years in a related field, or a management or director position.All applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age.WORK ENVIRONMENTIn the entertainment industry, one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, and stress.* All applicants must be 18 years or older to apply*We Offer Great Fringe Benefits for our Full-time PositionsMedicalDentalVisionLife/AD&D InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program401K Plan with Employer Match,Ancillary Benefits (AFLAC, VTL)Disclaimers:There are suitability standards that all applicants must meet to obtain employment with Cocopah Casino and the Cocopah Indian Tribe.
