Logistics and Inventory Specialist (6-Month Contract)Location: Everette WAPay Rate: $25.00-$35.00/hour (DOE)Schedule: Monday-Friday (occasional weekends as needed)Saxon Aerospace US Inc. is currently hiring for a 6-month contract Logistics and Inventory Specialist to support our client's Supply Chain operations in Squalicum County. This role has strong potential for extension and possible conversion to a full-time opportunity based on performance. We are seeking a detail-oriented logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in domestic and international logistics, shipping documentation, and carrier coordination, with the ability to also support inventory and warehouse functions. While inventory experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with strong logistics backgrounds and a willingness to learn warehouse operations. About the RoleAs a Logistics and Inventory Specialist, you will support daily logistics and warehouse management tasks, including shipping and receiving, cycle counting, preparing shipping manifests, coordinating with third-party logistics providers, and assisting with manufacturing support activities. Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain and adhere to company logistics policies and procedures; identify opportunities for process improvements Select carriers and negotiate competitive shipping rates (ground, LTL, specialty shipments) Schedule, monitor, and track inbound and outbound shipments; proactively resolve delays or discrepancies Prepare and validate shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping manifests Manage domestic and international shipments in compliance with DOT/IATA and export regulations Perform accurate inventory transactions in ERP systems (SAP or similar) Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies Receive, label, stock, and verify incoming materials; report documentation discrepancies Pick, label, and issue materials for production orders in accordance with company procedures Load/unload deliveries and package outgoing materials using pallet jacks and forklifts as needed Maintain safety standards while operating equipment and handling materials Support additional administrative Supply Chain tasks as required Qualifications2+ years of logistics, inventory management, or supply chain experience Experience with domestic and international shipping procedures Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (DOT/IATA compliance) Understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS codes, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and ECCN classifications Experience preparing shipping documentation (BOLs, commercial invoices, manifests) Familiarity with Incoterms and third-party logistics providers Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (or other ERP systems) Hazmat shipping experience preferred Forklift experience preferred Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on your feet for extended periods in a warehouse environment Ability to work occasional weekends as needed Strong team collaboration skills Follow us on LinkedIn! https://www.linkedin.com/company/saxon-aerospace-usa See more job postings here: https://www.saxonaerospace.com/careers Saxon Aerospace Benefits include Medical Coverage, Prescription Coverage, and 401K Saxon Aerospace US Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
