Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 – $2,190
Location: Harrisonville, MO (64701) — Missouri SLP jobs, convenient access to Kansas City
Setting: Hospital – Inpatient Speech-Language Pathology Unit (acute care; dysphagia/swallowing, cognitive-communication)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (start time between 6AM and 10AM; flexible with consistent schedule approved by Director of Rehab)
Hours per Week: 35 guaranteed hours per week (on-site position), with the possibility of working up to 40 hours as needed
No weekends required unless making up hours for holidays
Role Type: Travel SLP / Hospital SLP job — ideal for certified speech therapists and clinical SLPs
Qualifications / Job Requirements
Active Missouri State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
Minimum 1 year of SLP clinical experience required (new grads considered with Level II experience, not just Level I observation)
Experience in LTC or SNF settings required; acute care/hospital experience preferred
Will accept one professional reference at time of submission
Must adhere to ASHA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
Primary Responsibilities
Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders
Develop and implement individualized plans of care following evidence-based practice and regulatory standards
Administer standardized assessments and document results in clinical records per facility and regulatory requirements
Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and prepare comprehensive discharge summaries
Provide family/caregiver education, counseling, and interdisciplinary consultation with the healthcare team
Obtain and document necessary DME, adaptive feeding tools, and supplies per clinical practice requirements
Participate in in-services, trainings, and team meetings to support quality patient care
Supervise and mentor CFY clinicians or SLP students as needed
