- POSITION SUMMARYThe Social Media Specialist supports the execution of the company's social media strategy across corporate channels. This position is responsible for day-to-day social media operations, including content planning, copy development, publishing, channel management, and performance reporting. The role also supports content that advances business objectives, employer brand, recruiting efforts, and culture-related communications.The ideal candidate will have experience managing corporate social media channels, developing platform-appropriate content, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and using analytics to evaluate and improve performance.RESPONSIBILITIESPlan, write, publish, and manage content across company social media channelsMaintain and update the social media editorial calendar in alignment with business priorities and communication needsDraft, edit, and adapt social copy for platform, audience, and message objectivesCoordinate with internal stakeholders to identify stories, gather source material, and develop contentSupport content development for organizational announcements, campaigns, recruiting initiatives, employer brand, and culture communicationsCreate or coordinate simple graphics and short-form videos consistent with brand standardsMonitor channel activity and maintain content accuracy, timeliness, and consistencyMeasure and report social media performance using analytics tools and platform insightsTrack trends and identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness and audience engagementEnsure content follows internal review, approval, and brand governance processesPerform other related duties as assignedWork is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience3-5 years of relevant professional experience in social media, digital marketing, content development, or communicationsExperience managing at least two business or corporate social media channelsDemonstrated experience with LinkedIn content management and publishingStrong writing, editing, and proofreading skillsExperience managing editorial or content calendars and balancing multiple deadlinesExperience using social media analytics and reporting tools to assess performanceExperience creating or coordinating basic creative assets for social useAbility to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with varied stakeholdersPreferred qualifications:Experience in defense, aerospace, government contracting, technology, or another regulated or technical industryExperience supporting employer brand, talent acquisition marketing, or thought leadership initiativesFamiliarity with Sprout Social, HubSpot, or similar content management and reporting platformsExperience coordinating organic and paid social effortsPortfolio or samples of relevant workBENEFITSConstellis offers a comprehensive, total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package that reflects its commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.-
