Network EngineerLocation: Richmond, CA (Onsite)Long Term ContractOur client is currently seeking a motivated and technically skilled JR. Network Engineer to join their IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a network professional looking to grow their career in a dynamic and hands-on environment. The successful candidate will support and maintain the organization's network infrastructure while collaborating with experienced engineers on new implementations and projects.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the configuration, deployment, and installation of network equipment and softwareMonitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issuesImplement and maintain network security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of dataCollaborate with senior network engineers on the design and rollout of network solutionsProvide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support to internal users regarding network-related concernsRequired Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years hands-on experience in network engineeringStrong understanding of:LAN technologiesCisco route/switch platforms, design and configuration experienceRouting protocols (OSPF)TCP/IP (Layers 2, 3, and 4)Windows and Mac OS networkingActive DirectoryIT security principlesFiber optic cablingExcellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsStrong verbal and written communication abilitiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience Preferred SkillsExperience with BGP routing protocolsLinux networking familiarityKnowledge of virtualization technologiesExperience configuring and managing firewalls CertificationsActive CCNA or CCNP certification (Required and must be provided) Additional RequirementsMust possess a valid driver's licenseFluent in EnglishMust be able to commute to the worksite daily Benefits401(k) retirement planComprehensive health insurancePaid time offMonday to Friday schedule Our client is looking for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a collaborative and innovative team.
