Technical Estimator and Design Draftsperson
About The RoleWe currently have an opening for a Technical Estimator and Design Draftsperson in our Keilor Park office. Reporting to the Laser Department Manager, you will be responsible for:Supporting Automaint Lasers customers and clients through all items relating to parts manufacture & laser cutting and fabrication of their products.Servicing our customer’s needs and requests professionally, thoroughly and in a timely mannerFollow up with customer requests, including quotations, order processing, technical and general queries.Assisting the production, sales, and customer service team with technical support when required.About The CandidateExperience in sheet metal manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for sheet metal processes.An understanding of fabrication processes including, laser cutting, folding, welding and assembly processes.Experience with 3D design packages, preferably Inventor.Experience in Sheetmetal design.Preparation of quotes.Good customer focus skills.Liaising with suppliers to source components.Good organizational and team working skills.Excellent customer service / negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines.Willing to learn laser cutting & brake press folding software.An understanding of quality management systems.A working experience of MS Office.BenefitsCompetitive SalaryTraining and ongoing supportCompany uniformPlease note that candidates must have Australian work rights and will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.Automaint Laser prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace.Apply now!
