A health services network in Madison County, New York is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a promising Per Diem position with their Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).About the Opportunity:Schedule: Per diem, scheduled dates from April to NovemberHours: 8am to 4pm (8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch_Setting: Hospital (PACU/Surgical Services)Responsibilities:Monitoring post-operative patients recovering from anesthesiaAssessing consciousness and vital signsIdentifying and responding to complicationsManaging pain, nausea, and other post-op symptomsProviding continuous patient monitoring and rapid interventionPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:3+ years of PACU or ICU experienceGraduate of an accredited Nursing programNYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseBLS certificationStrong skills in Post-Op/Anesthesia RecoveryAbility to work in a high-acuity environmentEffective communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in NursingASPAN knowledgeExperience with EMR systems
