SLPA - School based - Gilbert - Part-Time

Part-Time School-Based SLPA needed in Gilbert area for the remainder of the '24-'25 school year and beyond. We are seeking speech-language pathology assistants in a school-based supportive setting. We staff several schools for Speech & OT in Arizona, you'll be part of a dynamic team at this school and supervised by one of our own SLPs. Now hiring for the remaining portion of the 2024-25 school year, this is a part-time position as a contractor that may lead to employee status for following school years. Consistent pay as a 1099 Contractor Part-Time choose your own hours Signing bonus Biweekly Payroll Direct Deposit Part-Time (Two days per week) == Job Duties == Implementing Therapy Plans: Carry out individual or group therapy sessions with students targeting specific speech or language goals. Monitoring Progress: Help track and document students' progress during therapy sessions, providing valuable feedback to the supervising SLP. Creating and Preparing Materials: Assist in creating or preparing therapy materials, visual aids, and resources to support students' learning and development. Providing Classroom Support: Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to implement strategies that facilitate speech and language skills within the classroom environment. Assisting with AAC Devices: Support students with communication challenges in using and maintaining these devices. Supporting Home Practice: Work with students to ensure that therapy goals are reinforced through activities at home. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other necessary documentation. Preferred candidates: Must be a graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy Must be currently registered/licensed Must be able to pass and obtain applicable background check and fingerprint clearance to work in an educational setting Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail and have own laptop Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the facility Maintains professional working relationships with all team members Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
