Journeyman Electrician

Job Description **Must be willing to relocate if you are not within 25 miles of the North Austin area**Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or leading small crews.Compensation:· Competitive hourly pay based on experience· Overtime pay (1.5x)· Steady, year-round work in a high growth area.Schedule:· Full-time (40-50 hours per week typical)· Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work as neededResponsibilities:· Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems· Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions· Ensure all work complies with NEC and local codes· Read and interpret blueprints and schematics· Lead or assist apprentices/helpers on job sites· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment· Communicating with customer, providing cost estimates, explaining technical issues and delivery professional onsite service.Job Requirements:Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (or reciprocating state)Minimum 2+ years of journeyman-level experienceStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and on a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred Experience:· commercial renovation, remodel, and service· Experience leading crews and job sites· Service work experience a plusBenefits:· Paid time off (1–2 weeks to start, increases with tenure)· Paid holidays· 401(k) (where applicable)· Company vehicle (depending on role)Growth Opportunities:· Advancement to Lead Electrician or Foreman roles· Support for continued licensing (Master Electrician path)· Opportunities to grow within a stable, expanding companyWork Environment:Work is performed in commercial settings, both indoors and outdoors, in a fast-paced but supportive environment.About the Company:We are a family-owned and operated electrical contractor, established 50+ years, proudly serving the Greater Austin area.
