Degree or 48 hours of college creditSubstitute Certification from Wyoming PTSBPreferred Training, but not required: experience in the use of behavior management techniques with adolescentsAbility to establish strong, positive rapport with adolescentsREPORTS TO: Building PrincipalJOB GOAL: The In School Suspension staff member will implement an alternative program which provides a structured environment for those students who are in continual violation of school policy. The alternative program is designed to assist these students with developing self-management skills and strategies.Performance Responsibilities Implement the Alternative In School Suspension Program. Assist in development of an individualized behavior program for students assigned tothe program. These individualized behavior programs are designed to remediateproblematic behavior and develop appropriate self-management skills. Implement students' individualize behavior program. Maintain and assist in the analysis of data and records on students as they progressthrough the alternative program. Communicates with students, parents, teachers and appropriate school personnelregarding the student's progress in the program. Participates in on-going evaluation of the program. Participates cooperatively with the appropriate administrator to develop the methodby which he/she will be evaluated in conformance with district guidelines. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs. Participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities. Performs other duties as many, from time to time be assigned by the supervisor.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Length of employment to be determined by Supervisor.
