OverviewPRADCO is recruiting an Outside Sales Representative to achieve strategic sales goals, including increasing sales volume, expanding market reach, and boosting the profitability of sales orders, primarily in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Eastern New Mexico. The role focuses heavily on acquiring new clients but also involves managing and growing an existing book of business for a family-owned manufacturer of precision fittings and valves. The initial focus will be on building relationships with existing channel partners, then leveraging warm-market contacts, and prospecting.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Cultivating contacts with distributors, representatives, and end usersWorking with existing distributorsSeeking out new distribution when/where neededPromoting the specification of products on end-user-approved vendor listsDemonstrating/training distributors and end users on product features and applicationsAttending trade showsProviding market feedback on products, customer concerns, competitive developments, etc.Education and Experience:5-10 years in the pipe, valve, or fittings industriesBA in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing EngineeringExperience in oil and gas, fabrication, compressor companies, or similar technical fields is advantageous, with a mix of both sales and technical expertiseStrong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industry-related terms and technical measurementsMultilingual capabilities are a plus, but not a requirementIdeal candidates have strong time management skills, a growth mindset, and can independently manage large, complex territories.
