Job Description Position OverviewOur organization is in search of a distinguished and forward-thinking Medical Oncologist to take on the role of Medical Director for our Cancer Service Line. The Medical Director will be responsible for providing both strategic and clinical leadership to enhance and expand a comprehensive, system-wide cancer program that prioritizes quality, innovation, and teamwork.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Vice President of the Cancer Service Line to establish and execute the strategic vision for cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, and education across our hospitals and outpatient facilities.Engage in a dual role that combines administrative responsibilities with an active clinical practice, allowing for significant influence over system-wide oncology strategies.Build and maintain relationships with both employed and community-based healthcare providers.Partner with academic institutions, including the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research, to promote research initiatives.Support the Hematology/Oncology fellowship program through teaching and mentorship.QualificationsMust possess an MD or DO degree with an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.Board certification in Medical Oncology is required; additional certification in Hematology or Internal Medicine is a plus.Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, research, and program leadership within a complex healthcare environment.Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.Working ConditionsThis role offers a unique opportunity for a physician leader to guide the vision, growth, and coordination of oncology services across a multi-hospital, community-based academic health system.
