Embrace Wellness offers opportunities for professional development for individuals committed to patient-centered service.Role Description The Medical Administrative Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Wilmington, NC. This position supports daily clinic operations by greeting clients, managing check-in and check-out processes, and answering phone calls in a professional and timely manner. The Medical Administrative Assistant schedules and confirms appointments, maintains and updates patient records, and verifies insurance information as needed. The role includes coordinating communication between clients and clinical staff, handling incoming messages, and responding to general inquiries. The role also include screening new and existing patients for clinical needs and assisting with billing and payment collection tasks while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Phone Etiquette and Customer Service skills to interact professionally and compassionately with clients and visitors.Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance skills, including scheduling, filing, data entry, and managing office workflows.Candidates should possess understanding of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate with clinical staff and update patient information.Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, to support patients and team members.Candidate should be comfortable working in multiple web-based applications to include phone systems, microsoft tools, electronic health record and other supportive software.Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a medical or wellness office, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, basic knowledge of insurance verification, strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
